| Okay - now that THAT's out of the way, here's what you need to know.
If you want representatives to represent you, then YOU have to find those people and YOU have to fund the marketing of their campaign. It's that simple.
If you can't find anyone willing to run, then maybe YOU need to consider running.
The bottom line:
Protests don't move the needle. Phone calls don't move the needle. Emails, letters, postcards, blah blah blah... none of it changes their minds. The one who's not representing you is not the one who will come around to representing you.
No one expected Scott Turner to win. Some of you might have wished that you rep would represent, but your rep made a judgment call today, whatever it was that prompted that decision.
There is one way to hold someone accountable - you remove them from office by replacing them with someone of your choice.
Ain't no whining... just lots of work ahead. So roll up your sleeves and find those who will work alongside you and get busy. | |
