On my mind with the news that Romney smartened up...

We're not in Iowa, New Hampshire, South Carolina or even any of the Super Tuesday states. There has to be a way to circumvent the primary / caucus process to deal us back in so that we don't get some moderate loser.

This circumvention can't come through the GOP - they play by their internal rules, which leaves Texas at the tail-end of the process.

So... brain is a-whir.
